New Gas Tanks: 1961–69 Cars
Gas tanks usually rust from the inside and start to leak. These are EXACT REPROS made from "GAS TANK STEEL" that Is thicker than
the originals. Pressure tested, wrapped and boxed. SEE FOR OTHER ITEMS USUALLY NEEDED.
1961–69 Car Gas Tank C151 40 lbs. (due to size)
New FC Gas Tanks
Plated steel gas tanks. These will fit all 1961–65 FCs. Other tank Installation parts sold
separately or see multi-kits (page MK-4).
1963–65 Note: 63–65 FC w/ PG transmission did not have "hole" in tank.
1961–65 w/ NO hole for shifter C11710N 67 lbs. (due to size)
1963–65 with hole for shifter C11710H 67 lbs. (due to size)
FC sender note: 1963-65 with hole through tank - you must use the “64-65 FC” sender unit; the 61-63 will not fit.
1964-65 FC with PG (using a tank with no hole) should still order the 64-65 sender as it “goes” with the dash gauge.
Gas Tank Sealer: It is resistant to all alcohol blended fuels and adheres even
tighter to metal and rust. It remains flexible and stays on even if tank is dented. If tank has extreme rust, have it
professionally cleaned. If tank has minor rust, just dry and seal. (Tank must be removed. Allow minimum of 2 days to
dry). Do not use rust preservers in tank first. 1 can will seal a car or FC tank with 2 coats. There are no finer sealers
available. We highly suggest you seal any NEW tank. —MORE INFO: Page 66—
