Right Side '66–'69
1965–69 All 140 HP
NOTE: In 1966–69, they changed the right side lines to
allow for A/C compressor or smog pump. The inlet and
left side lines stayed the same for all years. For original
1965 A/C, I do not know which lines are different.
Brass Fuel Pump Connectors: Page 65
Pre-Bent Long Fuel Lines
From the gas tank to connection before the engine compartment. These are difficult to bend by hand due to the size of the
tubing. These CLARK lines come pre-bent and with the correct flange where the rubber hose slides on. The lines are bent in the
middle for shipping but can easily be bent back. ALSO! These are VERY DIFFICULT to install without removing the powertrain and
rear crossmembers (unless you bend them enough to install). This is a good time to replace ALL rubber tunnel grommets – see pages 235-236.

TERN COATING Gone
The original Corvair gas tanks and lines (gas & brake) were "tern"
coated which is a combination of lead and other plating metals.
With the decrease in lead use, this process is phased out. The new
platings look great; just a little brighter. Part of that is due to the tern
coating turning to a darker color soon after production, so the tanks
and lines did not look as bright for as long.
