HOW TO PHONE ORDER

WE ARE READY – Please give us your customer number if you have it (it will be on all shipping labels). If you have
ordered before but don't have your customer number we will need your last name and state. If you are a new customer
we will need to take down your name, address, phone number and email address so that we can assign you a customer
number. Please Speak Slowly – we want to get it right! Please: On phone orders, your customer number, name,
address, zip code and phone number are very important.
ORDERING PARTS – WE NEED THE FOLLOWING:
1 – Quantity
2 – Full part number including the C, CX or CU, etc. We will read you a description & the price. Don't forget
color codes or other information. Examples: 2 C1490 or 1 C1476BX. Please try to have your part numbers
ready. Our order takers will give you the description, so you can be sure you'll get the correct part. Not all of our
order takers are Corvair experts but they'll go out of their way to help or get help.
NOTE: A. If you have a question about a part, give us the part number. Our computer can immediately give us a
description, catalog page, minor technical information, cost and inventory status. If you need additional
information we'll get a Technical person on the phone.
B. If you get a busy signal, PLEASE KEEP TRYING! (Only 1 order taker 12:30-1:00 E.S.T.)
C. PLEASE LET IT RING! It can take 4-8 rings for us to answer. We are also pulling & packing your orders.
MINIMUM ORDER CHARGE? NO, BUT PLEASE TRY TO ORDER AT LEAST $20 IN PARTS!
SHIPPING METHODS
1. FedEx – Federal Express – Delivered to your door or business. See zone map on back of order form. FedEx &
Post Ofce packages can be tracked. If you provide your email, we will send you the tracking number at the end of
the day your order ships.
EXTRA CHARGES – FedEx also has the following charges: Fuel Surcharge changes weekly and is a percentage
added to the shipping charge on all packages. "Additional Handling" fee for packages weighing over 70 lbs., items
over 48" long or parts we can’t put in boxes and a "Large Package Surcharge" fee for packages with a length &
girth over 130". Our shipping is computerized and you'll only be charged what is required by FedEx. FedEx is getting
quite complex and rates & fees are subject to change. Best to include a little extra if you are sending a check.
GROUND – Ground Service to all states. The least expensive FedEx method. Delivery time approximately equal in
days to your zone. Alaska & Hawaii – add 1-3 days to delivery times.
FEDEX HOME DELIVERY – 7 days a week to most residential addresses (except Alaska and Hawaii).
COMMERCIAL ADDRESSES – Delivered Monday–Friday.
FEDEX EXPRESS SAVER – To nearly all addresses in the USA (except Alaska & Hawaii). It is GUARANTEED 3
(business) days. Since ground FedEx usually gets to Zone 2, 3, & 4, in about 2-3 days we don't suggest it unless
you are Zone 5 - 8.
FEDEX 2 DAY – Available to all states. It is GUARANTEED 2 (business) days. Alaska & Hawaii – add 1-3 days to
delivery times.
FEDEX PRIORITY OVERNIGHT – Next Day FedEx Air delivery (Mon.- Fri.) GUARANTEED. We assume you will
probably only use this for phone orders. Please call before 2:00 p.m. our time. Alaska & Hawaii – add 1-3 days
to delivery times.
FEDEX PRIORITY OVERNIGHT – GUARANTEED SATURDAY DELIVERY (only for an order shipped on Friday).
ADD $16.00 (as of 12/18) more to the rate (plus fuel surcharge). Not available to all areas – order taker can
tell you. Please call before 2:00 p.m. our time.
