REAR BRAKE BACKING PLATE: Often nearly rusted away. Chisel old one off and braze or weld new one on. C7362 12 oz.
NOTE: This is just the reinforcement that is welded on near the bottom.
BEARING REBUILD KITS: This kit gives you everything you normally need to rebuild 1 rear wheel bearing. (You must have access to a press and dial
gauge. You get one of each of the following : C1404 (outer seal), C1888 (spindle nut), C1890 (cotter pin), C1405 (dust shield), C1403 (inner seal), inner bearing & race,
outer bearing & race, C1414A (shim set), C7593 (thin shim). We suggest Clark Rebuilt Units. ADD X to the end of either part # and shim kit is DELETED. If doing both
sides you might want 1 with and 1 without. Both still include thin shim. kits less shims
with PREMIUM BEARINGS C9357A C9357AX 1 lb. 8 oz.

I strongly suggest you consider these. We rebuild the units to factory specifications using new bearings, seals, and any other
needed parts. All parts are glass beaded and painted black. You get the whole unit shown with the brake backing plate. All you
have to do is disconnect your universal joint, remove brake drum and parts (including wheel cylinder), then just remove 4 nuts
and pull your old unit out. No special tools – no hassle – and you can order these units and have them before you start.
NOTE: We use HD synthetic grease & even chase the threads for the universal joint bolts. No Rust – No "Surprises.”

UNIVERSAL JOINTS
Universal joints have small roller bearings that eventually wear. As the wear gets worse
it allows the drive shafts to wobble. When starting and stopping, a clunking can often
be heard. These are PREMIUM quality universal joints.
1960-64 uses (2) 1965-69 uses (4)
Both PREMIUM universal joints are forged with maximum size trunions and grease
fittings. FIT ALL CORVAIRS.
