BRAKE HOSES
Clark Brake Hoses have correct I.D. – See bottom of page 144 for more info.
Front Brake Hose: Either Side (also order retainer & washer).

WASHER – 1960-68 Front & 1960-64 Rear: Copper washer between brake hose and wheel cylinder. C725 ½ oz. ea.
RETAINER: Square shaped metal piece that slips over metal part of hose to hold in place. Rear hoses 1965-69 use 2 per hose.
Suggest replacing old ones.

"C" CLIP – BRAKE HOSE: Keeps hose from pulling through bracket. Opposite side from "C" retainer. Comes on new hoses. C3206 1 oz.
61-62 FC Front Brake Hose Spring: This was a Dealer installed "fix" to keep the hoses from hitting the wheel rim. In 1963 the brake hoses were shortened slightly to
prevent this. We have the spring if you need to replace it. Spring (black) Sold Ea. C11381 2 oz.
BRAKE HOSE WARNING! Af ter installing FRONT BRAKE HOSES, install the tires and move from FULL left to FULL right while watching the brake hose. If it comes close
to the rim you can try putting a little "TWIST" to the hose by loosening, moving slightly and retightening.

Competition Brake Hoses
These competition brake hoses exactly replace the original Corvair hoses. The advantage is that stock hoses (when a great deal of pressure is applied) will expand
considerably giving the feel of a soft pedal. These hoses are so strong that they give the effect of solid steel lines throughout the whole system. They are also stronger
if something flips up and hits them as they have a braided stainless steel outer cover. Suggested for competition only.
