1962–66 Turbo Covers: Summer/Winter metal covers essential with a Turbo – See Decals, page 238. These covers go below the oil cooler and the distributor.
There were 2 different sizes. We are not positive on all the applications but believe the following is correct.
196263 used the large on both sides. 1964 used 1 large and 1 small (under the oil cooler)

I. Turbo Performance Parts
A well built stock Turbo is a nice running engine with its only real drawback being in the range below 3000 RPM and the stock Turbo carburetor. We are offering several
performance parts but, please remember that, under full stock boost the Turbo engine is "safe". As you add performance parts it is possible to boost the engine past
its capacity. For extreme use you may need to use a waste gate.
Turbo Exhaust Pipe Wrap Kit: 196266
Made from top quality material. Will increase boost – especially at low RPM. (Will tend to rust out crossover pipe quicker).
Wraps crossover and inlet pipes. C3944 2 lbs.
More Turbo Wrap Kits: These kits are for the person who wants all the heat saved or who wants to help his engine run
as cool as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: It is very difficult to wrap these and have them "neat". We just supply enough material and wish you luck.
Manifold Kits: Enough to wrap both manifolds. C3944M 2 lbs.
Outlet Kit: Enough to wrap the Turbo itself and the outlet pipe. C3944X 2 lbs.
Performance Carbs.
Although we can usually get most stock Turbo carburetors to run acceptably, they do limit all out power and cannot easily
be tuned for gas mileage.
Weber Carb. Adaptor
Adapt 40 & 45 DCOE Weber 2-Throat carburetors. For 196266
Turbo. All parts included. I also suggest adjustable swivel
linkage listed under individual Weber carburetor parts.

Replacement O-Ring For Weber Adaptor To Carb.
Must be replaced each time carburetor is removed, for old adaptors

Weber Carbs for Turbos
Turbo Parts
A Weber is good because so many parts of the carb can be replaced; it can be
exactly suited to your climate, driving conditions and engine. Our carbs come
with what we have found to be good average settings (Jets, Chokes, Linkage,
Fuel Connections, etc.). The power gain (especially top end) and response is
impressive. I would say the only drawback at all is a slight
hesitation in cold weather in the range of about 1500–2000 RPM.
NOTES: Mileage is about equal to the stock carburetor.
Also order air filter & adapter and you will have everything you need. You may also want to consider our manual choke cable.
40 DCOE is suggested for stock 150HP & 180HP. 45 DCOE is suggested for "Hotter" 180HP and high per formance turbos.
