1964-65 Van Door Panels

COMPLETE

These panels are complete and ready to install (except as noted). All aspects are as close as

we could make them without the price having to be twice as much!

NOTE

The original panels had metal sleeves that were in the panels & the attaching screws went

through these sleeves. Our panels do not have these sleeves – also because we've found

considerable screw location variation from van to van.

We DO NOT make the holes for the screws. We DO mark the normal location on the back of

the panel – you can check your screw location & then use a small drill to create a starter hole

for the screws. The screws below "for repro panels" have a "washer head" that creates the

same effect of the original "sleeve" & helps prevent the screw from going into the panel too

far. HANG THE PANEL ON THE RETAINERS – THEN INSTALL THE SCREWS TO THE POINT

THAT THEY ARE JUST FLUSH WITH THE VINYL.

COLORS

If we've made an interior for you in the past & you want the vinyl to match, please send us a

small sample from underneath one of the seats. We cannot supply all the original colors.

COLOR SURCHARGE????

A few of the original colors/original grain vinyls are very expensive – if you want these

particular colors, it may add 25-35% more to the overall cost of the panels.

INSERTS

These are just as good as we can do but please note – these are the most difficult of any

embossing we've done since 1984!!! It is possible that the seal seams may be slightly off or

have a slight "double hit". If it looks OK from 3 feet away – it will be considered acceptable.

This whole project is basically a "labor of love", but sometimes "love" has to overlook minor

"imperfections".

RETAINER CLIPS

The original panels were "hung" on special clips (which work with these reproduction panels).

Our replacement CLIPS are made of stainless & work great – on originals or repros.

"8 door" requires 18 clips

"6 door" requires 22 clips

Front door only – requires 3 clips per side

CRINKLY VINYL INCLUDED

All panels except the rear side & the rear most doors include the original style "crinkly" vinyl

sealed to the bottoms like the originals.
