ENGINE MOUNTS (TRANS. MOUNTS – See pg. 167A)
ENGINE – At the back of the car by the fan pulley. Rubber bonded to metal that can crack, rot, and weaken with age. It is all that holds rear of engine up!
NOTE: 1965-69 – A lot has been written about the superior 1965 style being better, but our own experience has shown they are more prone to
failure that is difficult to detect because the bonded part is hidden from view. Also note that the 1966-69 style (shown below) has a positive steel
safety rod there in case of failure.
TRANS. – 2 transmission mounts at the front of the transmission makes up the rest of the mounting system. Order bolts too! Check mounts for cracks in the
rubber or a collapsed state that allows transmission to tilt.

1965 CARS: These are quite rare as most people over the years have used the 66-69 style. If out, we will not substitute the 1966-69 style unless you
request it. Only offered as Rebuilt Unit with refundable core included in the price (we suggest New 66-69 style).

1966-69 CARS: (will also fit 1965's) These mounts have caused a great deal of confusion as to if they have "gone bad". Before being installed,
they have the pyramid shape. Once installed, the weight of the motor brings them down until they are just about "flat" across the top.
When they are "bad", the center will be sunken down and should be replaced. New 1966-69 style (fits 1965) C8059R 8 lbs.
